About the show
Who we are
The Bay Signal is a San Francisco podcast featuring candid conversations with founders, builders, investors, and interesting people shaping Silicon Valley.
The Bay Signal is an independent interview podcast recorded in San Francisco. In every episode we sit down with one person and get to know them, their project, and their story.
We care about the outcome — but we care more about the path: where the idea came from, why they decided to take the risk, which decisions determined the result, and what usually stays outside the public image. The conversations are substantive, but never drowned in technical detail.
Who it's for
- People already working in startups and technology.
- First-time and future founders.
- An international audience curious about Silicon Valley.
- Anyone interested in entrepreneurs as people, not just their companies.
- San Franciscans who want to understand their own ecosystem better.
Where we are today
The Bay Signal is young: the first episodes, a growing list of guests, and a long list of people we want to sit down with. Short clips from every conversation are coming to YouTube and Instagram. If you're building something interesting in the Bay Area — we probably want to talk to you.
Francisk Hanchar
Host, The Bay Signal
Francisk Hanchar lives in San Francisco and spends his time around the people this city attracts: founders between funding rounds, engineers leaving comfortable jobs for uncertain ideas, investors, artists, operators. The Bay Signal is his way of recording the conversations that usually happen off the record — about ambition, doubt, risk, and what it actually takes to build something here.
